We may collect the domain name and email address (where possible) of visitors to our website, the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit, user-specific information on what pages visitors access or visit, information volunteered by the visitor, such as survey information and/or site registrations, name and address, telephone number and the name and email address of users.

How can you update your information, or unsubscribe from a Data Sciences’ mailing list?

You should contact Data Sciences directly at legal@datasciences.ca to correct or change the information we have about you or to unsubscribe from our mailing list.

Any and all emails sent by our mail servers have an unsubscribe link that is generated by our system. Unsubscribe requests can also be sent to legal@datasciences.ca We will process all unsubscribe requests within (5) five business days of receiving them.

What else should you know about your privacy?

While we do our best to protect your Personal Information, Data Sciences cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit online, and you do so at your own risk. Please be careful whenever you are online.

What about security?

We employ servers located in data centers with access by bonded personnel only. Database access is only granted to employees who require it for updating or maintaining the data and servers.

How do we manage opt-out/unsubscribe requests?

When we send any and all mass emails via by our mail servers, they all have an unsubscribe link that is generated by our system. Unsubscribe requests can also be sent to the points of contact listed below. We will process all unsubscribe requests within (5) five business days of receiving them.

What about anti-spam legislation?

As a commercial entity, Data Sciences is subject to the Anti-spam legislation in Canada, therefore if we do send any messages to which the law applies and for which there are no exemptions, we will ensure that we have consent to do so, as required by law, and that any other legal requirement e.g. an unsubscribe mechanism, are met.

Do we log IP addresses?

Data Sciences uses standard web and application logs to collect IP addresses, or the location of your computer network on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We may also use IP addresses to track which pages people visit in order to improve the quality of our website.

Do we use cookies?

Like many websites, we use cookies which are small text files stored on the user’s browser.
